In 2009, we held two educational webinars about the revised Federal Trade Commission guidelines for endorsements and testimonials: Disclosure: What It Means, Why Bloggers Need It and How To Get It Right on September 9th and a Town Hall Meeting with the FTC’s Mary Engle on November 10th. These webinars were free to the blogging community through the generous support of sponsors. The free webinars will be continued in 2010. topics will include: Affiliate Marketing; Copyright and Fair Use; Disclosure Revisited – Where are we now?; Responsible Blogging; and Talking to the Media on Your Terms.
Bridging Brands & Bloggers is an influencer relations workshop for marketing, public relations and advertising professionals. In addition to general considerations in blogger relations and advertiser obligations under the new FTC guidelines, the workshop will feature a panel of bloggers from the community. We will offer it as a fee-paid webinar on a regular basis, with different segments of the blogging community represented in each session, however, it can be done as a custom live workshop upon request.
